Below is my profile form my official launch as Liberal Democrat candidate in Chells Ward, Stevenage for the local elections on May 5th 20111.

I do not like the first photo. But then again I rarely like formal photos of myself.

Tim Neale’s parents were among the first to move out to Stevenage New Town. He was born here in 1961 and was brought up in Collenswood Road, where his parents still live. He says he, “Grew up with town.”

He attended Ashtree and Nobel Schools and apart from time away at London and Cranfield Universities he has lived in Stevenage all his life.

He has worked ABB and Fujitsu before going freelance four years ago. He currently works from home.

I finally heard back from Stevenage Homes on the cost of fire alarm call outs.

I was not going to mention services charges or anything about Stevenage Homes again on this blog. I’ve set up Stevenage Leaseholders Online just to moan about them. But I had to share this.

Stevenage Homes have at last replied to my query. The email arrived on the 9th March 2010. I first enquired 13 November 2009.

After nearly four months of silence, two weeks after launching Stevenage Leaseholders Online I receive an email from Michael Olawepo. It was flagged high priority (you have to laugh).

With no apology for the months it took to respond, Mr Olawepo gets straight to the point. He’s complaining. I had said that “Stevenage Homes have cancelled some recent forums due to lack of interest”.

I created Stevenage Leaseholders Online because people were coming to Breathing In from Google on a search for “Stevenage Homes management fees”.

Leaseholders are annoyed with Stevenage Homes for raising the management fees. Some are seeing a 500% increase.

My original thought was to provide space to air grievances, maybe organize a response. So I set up some Discussion Forums. The first time I have tried this. It should be interesting.

It’s been a difficult week.

The scaffolding’s reached my floor. It’s strange to see people standing outside of my window. On the eighth, you get used to privacy. Walking into a room and coming face to face with someone is a shock.

But they have moved on up. Next they will be encapsulating us in the blue plastic. Everything will be dingy and blue.

I’m told that the worse part is when the drilling starts, eight hours a day, five days a week. I don’t know weather I’ll be able to work.
