The “Yes to Fairer Votes” stall we organised in Stevenage Town Centre was featured in The Comet this week. The picture is great, but was taken whilst I was on my lunch break. Now if I were a real politician I would be most upset. So here is a photo proving I was on the stall.

I made my dabute in last week’s Comet in an article called “Resident’s Anger at Parking Nightmare” on the redevelopment of the Nobel and Marriotts sites.

The Comet promoted me to the Liberal Democrat candidate for the Town rather than just Chells. Perhaps they know something I don’t. This is definately news to our parliamantary candidate for the town.

Good for him!

Local boy made good, Lewis Hamilton, is being showered with accolades after becoming last season’s Formula 1 World Champion in only his second season. He is to be awarded an MBE and immortalised in wax.

First the Gong

The 23-year-old was awarded an MBE in the New Year’s honours list. Hamilton said,

It is a massive honour and incredible privilege for me to receive an MBE from Her Majesty the Queen. It is the most amazing culmination to what has been quite a year for me.
